Busy Bees Dog Grooming

Welcome to Busy Bees Dog Grooming. By booking an appointment with us, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions. These terms are designed to ensure the safety, comfort, and wellbeing of your pet, as well as our groomers.

1. Appointments & Cancellations

• Appointments must be booked in advance, either online, by phone, or in person.

• Please arrive on time. If you are going to be more than 15 minutes late for your appointment, please advise us as soon as possible. We will endeavour to accommodate you, however if time does not permit us to do so, you will be charged for a missed appointment.

• We require at least 24 hours' notice for cancellations. No-shows or late cancellations may be subject to a fee.

•  ⁠Repeated cancellations and no shows will be charged a rolling deposit.
  A deposit of £20 will be required to secure your appointment. This deposit is non-refundable in the event of cancellation or no-show. If the appointment is attended with no rearrangements, the deposit will be rolled forward for 3 appointments and then deducted from the total price of the grooming appointment. A deposit will no longer be required.

2. Health & Vaccinations

• All dogs must be up to date with vaccinations.

• Please inform us of any medical conditions, allergies, or behavioural issues before the appointment.

• We reserve the right to refuse service if a dog shows signs of illness, fleas/ticks, or poses a risk to staff or other animals. Any fleas found on your dog will receive a flea bath, and an extra charge of £10 added to grooming price. 

• You will be advised to treat your home and dog appropriately before rebooking.

3. Aggressive or Difficult Behaviour​

• If a dog displays aggressive behaviour or is extremely stressed, we may stop the groom and contact the owner.

• A behaviour charge may apply if extra time or care is needed due to behavioural issues. A fee will be charged if the groom is ended early due to behaviour.

• We reserve the right to refuse or discontinue service to dogs that pose a safety risk.

4. Matted Coats

• If your dog is matted and needs shaving off as stated in the animal welfare act 2006, by signing this form you are granting permission to do so. There may be a £10 matting charge added to price of the groom.

• De-matting can be painful and may cause skin irritation or minor injuries.

• Busy Bees Dog Grooming is not liable for any health issues resulting from the condition of a dog's coat prior to grooming.

5. Grooming Outcomes

• We will always try to achieve the owner's preferred style, but the final result may vary depending on coat condition, dog behaviour, and grooming history.

• Any concerns about the groom must be raised within 24 hours of the appointment.

6. Accidents & Injuries

• While we take every precaution, grooming equipment can cause minor nicks, scratches, or irritation—especially in difficult or matted areas.

7. Pricing

• Prices vary depending on dog breed, coat condition, size, and behaviour.

• A final price will be confirmed during check-in or upon completion of the groom.

• Extra charges may apply for matting, fleas, aggressive behaviour, or late pick-up.

8. Late Pick-Up

• Dogs must be collected promptly at the agreed pick-up time.

• A late pick-up fee of £5 per 15 minutes may apply if dogs are not collected on time, unless arranged in advance.

10. Photography & Social Media

• We may take photos of your dog before and after grooming to use on our social media, website, or promotional materials.

• Please let us know if you do not consent to your pet’s image or name being used.

11. Liability

• Busy Bees Dog Grooming will not be held responsible for any pre-existing conditions, injuries, or health issues discovered during grooming.

• Owners are responsible for informing us of any known health or behavioural concerns.

• We are fully insured, but owners leave their pets at Busy Bees Dog Grooming at their own risk.

12. Agreement

By booking and attending a grooming appointment at Busy Bees Dog Grooming, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.
